FormSense Privacy Policy

FormSense is a browser extension that improves form fields by applying appropriate mobile keyboards and live formatting (phone, date, ZIP, SSN, card, and similar fields).

What we collect

FormSense is privacy-first and local-first.

• Form values you type are never transmitted, sold, or stored on our servers. Formatting runs only in your browser.
• Preferences (which field types to improve) are stored in your browser via chrome.storage (local to your profile / sync if you use Chrome sync).
• We do not collect browsing history, personal identity, or the content of forms for analytics or advertising.

Optional anonymous telemetry (not enabled in 0.1.x)

Future versions may collect strictly anonymous counts such as field types improved (phone, date, etc.), never values. Any such feature will be disclosed and opt-out capable.

Third parties

FormSense does not sell or share form data with third parties. Future Pro billing (if enabled) would use a standard payment provider for transactions only.

Permissions

• Storage — save your options.
• Access to websites — detect and format form fields on pages you visit. Values are not uploaded.
